1

it seems so unreal to me that we have already been married for a year.
that day seems like yesterday, yet so long ago all at the same time.
we learned and experienced so much this past year.
we had really good times and we had really hard times.
we laughed.

we cried.

we fought.

everyone says that the first year of marriage is the hardest. i'm not here to agree or disagree with that statement, but i am here to tell you that marriage is not easy.

it is really hard.

and perfectly worth it.

i get to spend everyday with my love, my friend.
i get to share all my life experiences with him.
i get to cook for him and clean for him and be his wife.

and i absolutely love that.

the good times are absolutely worth all the bad times.

life is better with James.

so here's to year one.

we FINALLY got to eat the top layer of our wedding cake.
&
it was yuuuuuum.

Goodbye August

Is it just me or did August fly by?
I was in hobby lobby the other day and their whole Christmas section is fully stocked.
Not to mention like every store in Utah has halloween decorations out too.
Makes my heart happy.
Fall is magical guys.
But that is besides the point...
I have had the best weekend with my honey.
We watched BYU and Utah both crush their opponents which was great.
Yesterday we went to a beautiful sealing in the Brigham City temple for one of James's fave mission companions. The last sealing I went to was my own and I don't remember a thing the sealer said to us
(all i could think about was how excited and happy i was to marry my dreamy new husband)
so being able to listen to the words of someone else's sealing was really amazing.
I think we forget how blessed we are sometimes.
Oh and congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Gardner.

We went to the new AMC movie theater in layton on our way home and saw guardians of the galaxy...
James loved it... I fell asleep.
i say save your money...
HOWEVER i highly recommend you go to this theater sometime in your life.
the seats are full blown leather recliner love seats.
I was in movie heaven.

and to top it all off James took me out to the most romantic dinner for my birthday.
if you've never been to melting pot i strongly suggest you go.

aaaaand that's about all for now.

For Time & Eternity

October 2 was one of the prettiest days I've ever seen.
I always wanted a fall wedding because of the colors and because it's my favorite season.
We picked the absolute perfect day.
65 degrees of overcast perfection.

I woke up as giddy as a kid on christmas.
You think you have everything planned and ready to go until the day actually comes and you realize you are somewhat unprepared.
I woke up later than anticipated.
Lucky for me my darling friend Mikayla came over super early to help me get ready.
We still hadn't gone to pick up the flowers.
But my sweet dad took time out of his morning to go get them for me.
I had hardly any packing done for that night or for our honeymoon.
I felt like a huge mess.
But I was amazed at how absolutely perfect the whole day turned out.

We had to be at the temple at 10 a.m., an hour before our sealing time.
The drive downtown was peaceful, but I was so nervous.
A good nervous. An excited nervous.
I was an hour away from being sealed forever to my best friend, and that was an unreal feeling.
The moments we spent together in the celestial room before our sealing was something I will never forget.
So much peace and love filled our hearts, and tears filled my eyes as I finally realized what I was about to do.
I had never felt so much joy.
Looking into my sweet soon to be husband's eyes and just feeling pure love and happiness.
The temple is  perfect.
And I knew we were doing the right thing.

One of the temple workers came in and told us it was time.
As we walked into the sealing room, hand in hand, I had such an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to my family, my soon to be husband, and to my Savior.
Seeing our families sitting in the sealing room filled my heart with so much emotion.
The words of the Sealer were perfect.
The whole thing was perfect.
There were lots of happy tears.

we were married now.
The day we had waited for for six years was here.
And we were so happy.

After the sealing, we took pictures on the temple grounds. Our wedding pictures are my favorite thing to look at because they bring back such good memories.

OK HIIIIIIIIII^^^

^this picture kills me^

We went to moochie's for lunch because we're hipster.
Then we headed to The Old Meeting House where our reception was being held.
They did such a beautiful job with the table arrangements and decorations.

wedding cake is the bomb

As we drove away from our reception that night, it started to rain.
That was the most perfect end to the most perfect day.
I just love my new husband.
